My Safe Security Saga: Where Cyber Curiosity Meets AI Passion!

1. Chapter 1: Starting the Journey

In 2021, I embarked on an exciting journey by joining Safe Security in the Research and Analytics division. My focus was on cyber risk quantification, where we worked to quantify cyber risk in financial terms—something truly unique at the time. Back then, Safe was valued at below $50 million, with revenue below $1 million. It was a humble beginning, but I saw great potential in the company’s vision to transform how organizations understand and manage cybersecurity risk.

2. Why Safe?

Choosing Safe Security was not just a career move but a decision to be part of a vision. The idea of quantifying cyber risk in financial terms—turning complex cybersecurity challenges into metrics that executives could understand—was something I found transformative. After spending 1.5 years at Safe, I decided to take a break and explore the finance industry, curious to expand my knowledge and gain new perspectives.

3. Rejuvenation: Why Return to Safe?

With groundbreaking developments in Generative AI, I decided to return to Safe and take on a new challenge—building the AI team from scratch. This chapter has been fulfilling and transformative, with several key AI-driven initiatives leading the way:

1. SafeX : This platform delivers cutting-edge cybersecurity insights powered by AI. You can explore more details about it in the SafeX Launch.
2. RPS: An internal AI tool designed to assess complex cybersecurity reports, such as SOC2 and ISO, evaluating a company’s security configurations and identifying vulnerabilities.
3. SAFE Assistants: We’ve integrated multiple AI agents throughout the product to guide users, simplify navigation, and assist with filling out various security questionnaires when needed.

4. Learning Along the Way

Every step of this journey has been filled with learning and growth. From my initial experience in quantifying cyber risks to building AI-driven solutions, I’ve learned the value of perseverance, the importance of continuous innovation, and the power of teamwork.
