Hiring is harder than ever.  SAFE’s CEO thinks human+agent teams are the answer

“Everyone wants growth—but hiring is harder than ever,” writes SAFE Co-Founder and CEO Saket Modi in a new article for the respected business periodical Forbes,  Agentic AI Teams: How To Scale Without Hiring More People.  

With uncertainty over the economy, the investment outlook, regulation, and the talent pool, it’s one foot on the gas, one foot on the brake for many businesses. 

Consider an AI solution, Saket advises, not the over-hyped, chatty large language models (LLMs) but “agentic AI” highly trained to specific tasks tuned to supporting your business.

–AI agents are multitaskers. “They can initiate actions and see them through to completion, leverage software tools, adjust to changing circumstances and learn from experience.”

–Follow these steps to integrate agents into your operation.  

• Document key business processes in detail.
• Identify repetitive, high-friction tasks.
• Map how agentic AI could handle targeted workflows.
• Visualize what an “AI org chart” would look like next to your human one.
• Deploy AI agents where ROI is immediate.

–Learn from use cases of early adopters. Good example: Vendor risk management. Agents can support the entire lifecycle from vetting contracts to assessing cybersecurity fitness to ongoing performance management. 

–Humans will not be replaced. “Agentic AI done right still requires significant human oversight,” particularly for planning, deployment and quality assurance. Saket says organizations are already reimagining “workflows around lean, generalist teams supported by agentic AI, signaling a future when small teams accomplish more with less.”
